![]() ![]() Shion that time i got reincarnated as a slime tits series#I mean, even if this inherent naivety is damn-obvious without me pointing it out to you or anyone, the juxtaposition between Slime's Way and Reality's Way is essentially the focus of the series as Reality continuously erodes whatever safe-haven he christens.Īs a result, it becomes increasingly difficult for Rimaru to handle everything on his own, leaving opportunities for all the developed side-characters (like Shion) to independently fill the gaps later. For example: iirc, we're about to jump into the beginning of a 'serious tone' segment (or, as Mushoku Tensei calls it: a "TuRnInG pOiNt") since pretty-much everything till now was world-building with very little "omega, world-shaking consequences" - the scale of the story is on a constantly-escalating slider, you could say.Įven if the story tries to maintain its shounen roots of - for lack of a better word - "minimal permanency", Slime Datta Ken is always concerned with Change although the atmosphere of Tempest & other allied associates could be said to be "infected" with an unrealistic degree of tranquillity, it's progressively made-apparent that this is the effect of the MC's presence - as if his very being twists the rules of this world, like an alien - making it a paradise that's isolated from most of reality. ![]() Mm, well, I don't really wanna spoil the LN/WN at all, but with the story-format that's being borrowed from here (the whole 'build your own country Isekai' subgenre), Slime Datta Ken starts off a lot slower than most and, well, rather than balancing this stuff out over its entire course, it's got different tones at different stages of the entire story. She's an absolute waste of a character and waste of screentime. All she has ever done is increase her burden. secretary? but she doesn't do his paperwork, assist in taxes, monetary issues, scheduling, planning, absolutely anything a secretary does to lessen the burden of her boss. Shuna provides her expertise in the textile industry specifically silks and fine cloths as well as providing etiquette training for rimuru for negotiations and speeches as a princess. Soue is a spy master, informant, and the best choice for diplomat (see: lizardman arc). Hakurou is a master teacher that increases the strength of his army and his own fighting prowess. Benimaru is their king, he's also the military general in charge of strategy. She does nothing fight wise of any importance. Her role of bodyguard is completely moot, cause everytime he is in danger everyone in his life shields him in the same way as her. Even if he did any of her fight scenes can be replaced with benimaru. Sure, she's strong, but rimuru is amazingly strong and doesn't actually need any of these fighters. ![]() ![]() Out of all the characters, she's the only one that doesn't actually supply something to the country or the cause. I seriously can't stand how much of a nuisance she is. So for me, it's the personality I really dislike, boob size will never really be the issue if the character development is there. When it comes to this level of selfishness and just entitlement that just causes inconvenience for the person they are supposed to admire, I never really enjoy those characters. I really dislike shion, I feel like she's been dumbed down so much more, or maybe it's the manga that didn't really make it seem quite so bad. ![]()
